Position Overview

Job Ref No. ECC5404-657. Position Type: Teaching/Child Support. Pay Range: LGPS 3, Point 6-7 (Actual Salary from: £18,065). Position Start Date: Immediate. Contract Type: Part-time. Contract Term: Permanent. Application Close: 02/06/2026 Midnight. Date of Interviews: Monday 8th June 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting learners with Special Educational Needs across the wider SEN profile in full class settings, interventions and as a key worker.
  • Working with individuals or small groups in the classroom.
  • Being a Key Worker – supporting identified students in all areas of SEND.
  • Involved in planning, organising and implementing withdrawal interventions.
  • Completing One Plans and Pupil Passports with students and parents.
  • Work 30 hours per week (8:30am‑3:00pm, Monday to Friday) in a 39‑week year, including term time and non‑pupil days.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Successful recent experience working with children in a learning environment.
  • Ability to apply a range of behaviour management policies and strategies to support a purposeful learning environment.
  • Completion of training to support SEN, if appropriate.
  • Experience or qualifications in Emotional Literacy Support (ELS) is welcome but not essential.
