An exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Tax Manager or Business Tax Senior Manager to join a growing property tax team at a leading accountancy and advisory firm. The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of property clients, including owner‑managed businesses, property investment and development groups, and real estate funds. This is a client‑facing role offering exposure to both compliance and advisory work, as well as opportunities to develop leadership and technical skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.

This opportunity is perfect for a Business Tax Senior Manager looking for a new challenge, or a Business Tax Manager ready for the next step in their career. Property experience and CTA qualification (or equivalent) is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage corporation tax compliance for a diverse portfolio of property clients, including standalone entities and complex groups.
  • Review tax computations and returns prepared by junior staff, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Identify and implement tax‑efficient strategies and planning opportunities.
  • Provide advisory support on a range of property‑related matters, including structuring, reorganisations, group tax planning, acquisitions, disposals, and due diligence.
  • Manage billing processes, monitor work in progress, and ensure assignments are delivered within budget.
  • Lead, mentor, and support junior team members through training and performance feedback.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including representing the firm at property sector and networking events.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience managing a client portfolio, including complex group structures.
  • Strong technical knowledge of corporate and property taxation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with AlphaTax advantageous.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with a commitment to high‑quality client service and attention to detail.
