We are seeking a solicitor, caseworker, or barrister to join our supportive, collaborative team. We will support your development of a strategic legal practice to help secure justice for some of the most marginalized and vulnerable people in the UK and Europe.

We are one of the leaders in strategic legal work for asylum seekers, refugees, and migrants. Our work includes securing the suspension of the Detained Fast Track and opening safe and legal routes for family reunion for young people in Europe and beyond. We collaborate with the wider sector to understand key issues, undertake casework and research, take strategic legal action, and ensure communities understand how to use legal changes to improve their rights.

This role involves providing advice and representation, developing legal solutions, and exploring other areas for strategic intervention. It includes all aspects of casework, including litigation. Opportunities for research, training, capacity building, and second-tier advice are also available. The organization is funded by trusts, grants, and legal income, allowing time for practice development and pursuing interests.

Candidates should be either:

  • Practising solicitors with significant litigation experience
  • Practising barristers with casework and litigation experience within a solicitor-led agency
  • Caseworkers accredited at Level 3 OISC and Level 2 IAAS with litigation experience

The role may involve occasional travel within and outside the UK.

The closing date for applications is 12 pm on Monday, October 11th, 2021.
