Behaviour Support Assistant
A specialist educational setting in Cramlington is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to support pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN
- Supporting children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties
- Assisting with classroom activities and behaviour management
- Encouraging pupil independence, engagement and emotional wellbeing
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
- Supporting the implementation of individual learning plans
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Experience supporting SEN pupils is advantageous
- A patient, caring, and resilient nature
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
