We are partnering with a leading national forklift dealership to recruit a Parts Assistant for their Bristol depot. This is a strong development opportunity for someone with some exposure to a parts environment who is looking to build a long-term career within a well-structured, industry-leading organisation. Full training will be provided, and they are looking for someone they can shape, support, and progress over time within their service and parts operation.

The Opportunity

As a Parts Assistant, you will be a key link between the service department, engineers, suppliers, and customers. You will ensure the correct parts are sourced, processed, and delivered efficiently, helping to keep equipment operational and minimising downtime for customers. This is a varied and fast-paced role where accuracy, organisation, and communication are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day stock control and stock takes
  • Ordering, receiving, issuing, and returning parts accurately
  • Identifying parts and ensuring correct specifications are sourced
  • Processing GRNs and maintaining accurate system records
  • Managing van stock replenishment for mobile engineers
  • Supporting service with quotations and parts pricing
  • Handling warranty parts processing and administration
  • Maintaining clear and accurate parts documentation and worksheets
  • Liaising with suppliers, customers, engineers, and internal teams
  • Supporting the wider parts and service function with general administration

About You

  • Some experience in a parts environment (automotive, plant, forklift, HGV or similar) is essential
  • Strong interest in developing a long-term career within the industry
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Computer literate with a willingness to learn new systems
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a structured team environment
  • Open to training and development within a growing business
