Westbridge Mental Health Resettlement Service
Westbridge Mental Health Resettlement Service is a unique project delivered in partnership with Cumbria, Northumberland and Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust. It provides residential and clinical support for up to 12 adults who have been discharged from secure or semi‑secure mental health hospitals, or prisons, with the aim of helping them to reintegrate back into the community.
Support Workers – Role Overview
Support Workers are key to helping residents learn the skills they need to live independently – from cooking and cleaning to paying bills, navigating the benefits system and, when the time is right, getting them back into work.
The primary aim of a Support Worker at Westbridge is to provide personalised, bespoke guidance and support to residents as they progress and prepare to move on into their own accommodation.
