ESNEFT is advancing its Integrated Community Services (INT) and inviting applications for a part‑time Community Nurse position within the Integrated Neighbourhood Teams in Ipswich.

These teams consist of a Band 7 clinical lead and three full‑time Band 6 senior nurses, and are co‑located with community nursing, therapy, social care and out‑of‑hours nursing and therapy colleagues.

The service operates from 8 am to 6 pm, 7 days a week.

Main duties of the job

Provide holistic and sometimes complex nursing care within patients’ homes, working alongside Community and District Nurses, Generic Support Workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, independence wellbeing practitioners, social prescribers, the Matron, care coordinators and team administration colleagues.

Commit to high‑quality patient care, flexible teamwork, ongoing professional development and active participation in mandatory training, 1:1 and personal development meetings, clinical rolling skills training, and student facilitation.

Qualification

  • RN qualification (Part 1 of register) or equivalent
  • Current NMC registration
  • IV administration / cannulation
  • ENB 998/mentorship preparation or equivalent
  • Mentorship qualification essential for the post, not essential at interview time
  • Previous community nursing experience

Skills

  • Provide high standards of care

  • IT and standard keyboard skills
  • Car ownership/driver’s licence—able to travel to sites not easily accessible by public transport
