Salary: £25,995 – £26,409 per annum (pro rata for part time) (Pay Award Pending)
Working Hours: 1 x 21 and 1 x 20 hours per week. Must be able to work flexibly and participate in a rota including weekends and bank holidays. Working between the hours of 7.00 and 22.00.
Contract Type: Permanent

About The Role
We are looking for people who can help us to deliver high quality care and support to adults with disabilities in a supported living environment.
You will deliver day‑to‑day support, providing assistance with personal care, promoting choice and control while maximising independence.
You do not need previous formal care experience; we are interested in people who share our values.
We will provide the training needed and have a team behind you to mentor, coach and support your journey.
You will work in accordance with Leicestershire County Council’s Employee Code of Conduct and the Skills for Care Code of Conduct for Adult Social Care Workers.
We will meet the training costs and the DBS enhanced check (Adults Barred List) for a regulated activity required for this post.
About You
- Commitment to providing high quality care and support that maximises independence, is anti‑discriminatory, and adheres to relevant regulations and procedures.
- Ability to use available equipment to assist with moving and handling service users and to support people with complex needs; willingness to attend training courses.
- Effective communication skills, including engaging with service users who may use alternative communication methods (e.g., Makaton, picture boards, signs).
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks, and remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, responding effectively to crisis situations.
- IT and written skills sufficient to write and maintain clear, concise records.
- Responsive to meet the changing needs of a 24/7 service, including flexible working, participation in staff rota that incorporates weekends and bank holidays, and willingness to attend meetings or training outside normal hours.
