Location: Inverness

Salary: £65,000 – £70,000 + £5,750 Car Allowance

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Overview

First Military Recruitment is partnering with a national construction business to recruit a Temporary Works Coordinator on a permanent basis at their Inverness depot.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinating Temporary Works Schemes with permanent underground and above ground works on large‑scale complex projects in Scotland
• Reviewing or preparing design briefs and other temporary works scheme documentation in line with BS5975
• Ensuring design briefs prepared by others are adequate and cover actual site conditions and permanent works design
• Managing external and internal designers
• Understanding principle contractor and principle designers CDM roles
• Coordinating temporary works with the permanent works designer and advising on loads and actions that should be considered in permanent works
• Ensuring procedures are implemented and maintained by subcontractors in line with procedures

Skills and Experience

• Engineering related qualification (HNC/HND, preferably BEng or higher)
• Previous experience as TWC, TWD or TWS
• Member of a professional institution
• Minimum of 10 years post‑graduation civil engineering design experience
• Competent use of relevant design and CAD software
• Experience of using BS5975
