Rehabilitation Support Worker

Location: Barnsley

Salary: £13.45 per hour

Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time

Are you looking for an interesting role that makes a tangible difference to others? Due to changes with service users, we are currently looking for individuals to join our residential service who would like to make a difference to those recovering in neuro rehabilitation.

Our transitional brain injury rehabilitation service in Barnsley has achieved an exceptional CQC rating of Outstanding in all 5 areas. The team has also just been re-awarded “Outstanding” in our Headway ABI approved service provider scheme across all domains for the wonderful environment and outcomes in working with individuals regaining their lives after acquiring a brain injury.

Our team is incredibly creative and innovative when looking at rehabilitation. This role will allow you to work with our therapists, so you will be learning every day, and no two days will be the same.

We are looking for a variety of people with different backgrounds and life experience, to support our service users as they adjust to a life changing injury. This role will allow you to have a tangible impact. Our Rehabilitation Support Workers work alongside our neuro‑therapy team to implement goals and strategies and therefore we are looking for individuals that are kind, grounded and proactive. In‑depth training and mentoring will be provided, so vast care experience is not required.

Our organisation was awarded platinum level in Investors in People at entry level, which is almost unheard of and has been maintained at reassessment. There are only two other companies that have ever achieved this, and this is due to the supportive and kind culture that we have built. This is a real testament to our staff team and our commitment to helping others.

We have excellent career development paths and opportunities, including management training programmes.

This role would suit both those who are looking to bring their support worker experience into a new sector or someone looking for a complete career change. Those looking to work towards a career in Neuropsychology, Neuro‑OT, Neuro‑SLT and Neuro physiotherapy would also gain solid experience working with our teams.

This role is on a rota basis and will include evening and weekend work, personal care routines and manual handling. We have bank contracts, part‑time and full‑time positions available.

We are very happy to discuss the role further if you would like further information.
