Job Summary
The Copthorne Hotel Cardiff is looking for a self‑motivated, people‑orientated Assistant Maintenance Manager to join their team of professionals. The role is suited to an individual with experience in a similar maintenance role on a single‑site property.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive, efficient and motivated attitude, displaying a friendly approach and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Develop good working relationships with other hotel departments, communicate effectively, be customer focused and work independently with minimal direction from the Maintenance Manager.
- Assist in planned, reactive and preventative maintenance schedules when requested and complete utility readings at required times daily.
- Work safely at all times, complying with statutory and company health and safety regulations, including fire procedures, manual handling, chemical usage, disposal of waste materials, COSHH and related regulations.
- Assist in up‑keep of hotel areas, ensuring they remain free from daily wear and tear and participate in general painting, decorating and refurbishment works as required.
- Maintain a flexible approach to working patterns, including participation in the out‑of‑hours ‘on call’ rota as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Fully qualified as an electrician and/or plumber, legally able to complete related tasks in a competent manner.
