The Role – ASD Learning Support Assistant
- Supporting pupils with ASD and associated learning needs
- Assisting with structured routines and visual learning approaches
- Supporting sensory regulation strategies within the classroom
- Helping pupils develop communication and social interaction skills
- Providing 1:1 support and small group interventions
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and SEN professionals
- Encouraging independence, engagement and positive learning behaviours
What We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for graduates who are passionate about understanding autism and supporting children with additional needs.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Patient, calm and empathetic
- Passionate about supporting children with ASD
- Interested in child psychology, behaviour, or communication development
- Confident building positive relationships with young people
- Adaptable and proactive in a specialist learning environment
Previous SEN or autism experience is beneficial but not essential – the school values attitude, patience and willingness to learn.
