Shift Supervisor

Shift Supervisor – The Whippet | Liverpool Street, London

The Whippet is looking for a Shift Supervisor to join the opening team at our brand-new pub just moments from Liverpool Street Station.

Focused on well-kept cask ale and perfectly poured pints, The Whippet will be a small but high-volume site with a strong emphasis on quality, consistency and proper pub hospitality.

We’re looking for someone reliable, organised and hands‑on who takes pride in doing things properly. You’ll play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of the pub, supporting the General Manager and leading the team when they’re away.

Responsibilities will include:

• Opening and closing the site
• Leading a small team during busy services
• Supporting day‑to‑day operations and standards
• Cellar management and maintaining beer quality
• Following and upholding compliance procedures and company guidelines
• Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a great atmosphere
• Helping ensure every pint leaves the bar in top condition

What we’re looking for:

• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of cask ale and cellar basics
• Confidence leading a team in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and high standards
• A calm, positive and proactive attitude
• Genuine passion for pubs, beer and hospitality
