Role Overview
To support a young man with cerebral palsy and a learning disability who lives with family in Ayr. The role involves helping him access the local community and social activities such as going to the gym, cinema, and out for coffee.
He can walk short distances, but has a wheelchair that he is reluctant to use. He also has limited speech.
The position requires working alongside the family to build the young man’s confidence.

Other Requirements
Successful applicants will need to supply two up‑to‑date reference contacts, one must be from a present or previous employer, and must undergo an update of the PVG disclosure scheme prior to appointment. The disclosure fee will be reimbursed by the employer.
There is a 6‑month probationary period for the post.
