Job Description:

Shine Lincolnshire, working in partnership with Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust (LPFT), is looking to recruit multiple Peer Support Workers on a fixed-term contract until 31st March 2027, with the potential for an extension subject to ongoing funding.

Delivery locations will be confirmed following recruitment; however, we anticipate at least one role based in the North of the county of Lincolnshire and one in the South.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has their own lived experiences of poor mental health and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will be able to share the wisdom they have gained from their own personal journey to inspire hope and belief that recovery is possible in others. The Peer Support Workers will provide formalised peer support and practical assistance to clients, enabling them to regain control over their health, lead meaningful lives and develop their own unique recovery process.

Within Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT), an LMHT (Local Mental Health Team) is a community-based team that provides specialist mental health assessment, treatment, and ongoing support for individuals with moderate to severe mental health needs.

The Peer Support Worker will be based within a primary working area aligned to local LMHTs; however, flexibility is required as the role involves independent travel across Lincolnshire in line with service delivery needs.

The post holder will be required to undertake mandatory training. Shine Lincolnshire and LPFT will provide full support.
