Overview

We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Corporate Support Assistant to support the Chief Executive, Chair, Board, and Chief Executive’s Office with the smooth running of key corporate processes. This is a fast‑paced, high‑visibility role with daily engagement across the Executive Team and regular contact with senior stakeholders, including the Scottish Government. You’ll play a central part in coordinating activity, managing priorities, and helping ensure important corporate business runs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as a central coordination point for Chief Executive and Chair business, including liaison with Scottish Government
  • Managing diaries, tasks and meeting arrangements for the Chief Executive, Chair, Board, and Executive Team
  • Preparing, coordinating, and managing correspondence, papers, and deadlines
  • Booking travel and accommodation, and processing expenses
  • Following up actions on behalf of the Chief Executive and Chair
  • Supporting records management, including document storage, retention, and disposal processes
  • Maintaining governance schedules, contact lists, and procedure manuals
  • Supporting events, corporate returns, and website updates
  • Contributing ideas to improve CEO office processes and ways of working

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar senior support or coordination role
  • Confidence working with and supporting senior stakeholders across the organisation and externally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal ability
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritise, and maintain attention to detail
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel and Outlook (diary and task management)
  • A proactive approach, using initiative and sound judgement to manage workload effectively
  • The ability to build positive working relationships and handle complex or sensitive communications professionally
