Job Description:

Pinnacle Group is looking for a part time Security Officer & Control Room Operator to ensure the safety and security of our properties and sites. You will be joining our Workplace Security Teams based in Carrington, Manchester M31. Access to own transport is essential as there is NO public transport to the site.

Your role will involve monitoring premises, conducting regular foot patrols, responding to incidents, and maintaining detailed reports. You will need to be observant, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills.

This is a part time position guaranteed 20 hours per week plus extra hours to cover holidays, sickness and additional requirements. Shifts are 0600-1800, 1800-0600, 0630-1400, 0930-1800, days, nights, weekends (with higher rates available for some positions).

Who we’re looking for

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Meet and greet visitors, staff and contractors and manage the gatehouse environment.
  • Conduct routine patrols of assigned premises and detect signs of any intrusion or unusual activity.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies and incidents, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks.
  • Liaise with local authorities, including police, emergency healthcare services or fire services in case of an emergency.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, logging all security-related activities and occurrences.
  • Operate a telephone switchboard and use client software in the control room.

Key requirements will include:

  • Valid SIA Badge – SG or DS Licence (essential).
  • SIA CCTV Licence (advantage).
  • Own vehicle (essential due to location).
  • Evidence of honesty and reliability, and always maintain a sense of pride in professionalism and customer service.
  • Full 5‑year UK checkable work history.
