The Wythenshawe Estates team delivers a wide range of estate and property management services across multiple hospital sites. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical HVAC / Multi‑Skilled Engineer to support the delivery of Hard FM services across our estate.

What you’ll do

  • Perform reactive and pro‑active mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations on heating, ventilation, chilled water, and BMS systems. Some general building repair duties may also be required.
  • Conduct fault‑finding diagnostics to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Work safely under mechanical permit systems and adhere to health & safety regulations.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and statutory inspections.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to ensure fast and efficient responses to breakdowns.
  • Participate in the on‑call roster to provide essential support.
  • Work with tools, access equipment, and occasionally drive company vehicles as required.

What you bring

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a similar role.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of heating, ventilation, and building energy management systems.
  • Ability to diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • Willingness to learn new techniques and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Package Description

Job Type: Full‑timeDepartment: Technical Services – Healthcare

  • 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 08:00‑16:30
  • Opportunity for additional pay through occasional on‑call duties and overtime.
  • Circa £36,500.
