Student First Aid and Medical Needs Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate support for students with medical needs and ensure timely delivery of medical care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medical incidents and student health information.
  • Lead the College’s team of first aiders, ensuring a high‑quality, responsive service at all times.
  • Coordinate and deliver training and guidance for staff, governors, and external professionals on first aid and wellbeing.
  • Promote mental and physical health initiatives across the College, including the use of the College wellbeing app, WISDOM.
  • Work effectively with internal teams, families, and external professionals to facilitate student care.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Substantial first aid or medical care experience.
  • Excellent communication, resilience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to coordinate multiple needs and teams.
  • Experience in safeguarding and wellbeing (preferred).
