Responsibilities
As a Care and Support Worker at Longlands Care Home, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to our residents. You’ll support older people and those living with dementia in their daily routines, promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing. Your responsibilities include:
- Assisting with personal care such as washing, dressing and toileting
- Supporting residents with mobility and mealtimes
- Engaging in meaningful activities and social interaction
- Monitoring and reporting changes in residents’ health and wellbeing
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals
- Ensuring a safe, clean and comfortable environment for all residents
The role is based in our purpose-built facility in Daventry, which includes both long-term residential care and short-term respite care. It offers 24 to 36 hours per week, typically in 12‑hour shifts from 7.45 a.m. to 8.15 p.m. with alternate weekends.

You will be flexible and willing to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
