An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a four-year Engineering Apprenticeship programme at Heathcoat Fabrics, working towards a Level 3 Engineering Maintenance Technician qualification.
This is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals with a genuine interest in engineering to gain hands‑on experience with the UK’s leading technical textile manufacturer.
From day one, you will become part of our experienced engineering team, receiving high-quality mentoring, structured training and real workplace responsibility while developing the practical and technical skills needed for a successful engineering career.
What the successful candidate will be doing
During the apprenticeship, you will gain experience across a variety of engineering disciplines and manufacturing environments, including:
- Learning how to maintain and service industrial plant equipment
- Diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical faults
- Repairing and improving production machinery
- Applying Heathcoat’s quality and safety standards to protect people, products and processes
- Working across several areas within our manufacturing site, including Mechanical, Electrical and Utilities departments
- Developing strong problem‑solving and teamwork skills in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
What we’re looking for
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are keen to learn, work collaboratively and build a long‑term career in engineering.
Applicants should have:
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English, plus either Maths or Science
- A demonstrable interest in engineering and technology
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to travel to college for day release when required
