Overview

This is an exciting opportunity in a newly focused Residential Intermediate Care Service in Blackpool, helping people improve and maintain their independence at home.

Our aim is to provide support and rehabilitation to adults within a safe and secure environment giving them the opportunity to re-gain skills with their everyday activities as they would if they were at home, whilst having the support of a dedicated staff team.

We are looking to recruit dynamic, motivated persons to join our well established team and take on the role of Rehabilitation Support Worker. The post holder will be expected to support individuals accessing the service to maintain their health and social care needs in a person-centred approach, working alongside therapy and nursing teams in the delivery of intermediate care, gaining recognised skills to enhance personal development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals accessing the service to maintain their health and social care needs in a person-centred approach.
  • Work alongside therapy and nursing teams in the delivery of intermediate care and gain recognised skills.
  • Work on a rota, including weekends, bank holidays and flexible shift working; hours will be over 4 days.

Qualifications

  • Dynamic, motivated with proven ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Satisfactory reference history of at least two years.
  • Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check (subject to suitable filtering).
  • Medical clearance.
  • Evidence of any essential qualifications.
  • Proof of Right to Work in the UK (in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996).
  • Exemption from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (certain offences protected and need not be disclosed).
