Learning Support Assistant – Temporary to Permanent
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school on a temporary to permanent basis. We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and helping pupils thrive both academically and personally.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to provide high-quality classroom support, ensuring all pupils are fully engaged and able to reach their potential. This role would suit a proactive and nurturing Learning Support Assistant who can build positive relationships and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
As a Learning Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and within small groups, assisting with classroom activities, and helping to promote positive behaviour and engagement across the school day. The school is seeking a Learning Support Assistant who is patient, adaptable, and committed to making a real difference in children’s education.
The ideal Learning Support Assistant will:
- Have previous experience working with primary-aged children
- Be confident supporting pupils with varying learning needs
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be positive, reliable, and flexible in their approach
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children’s development
