Salary: £24,871 – £25,371 per annum. Location: Linby. Hours: 37. Closing Date: 26/04/2026 23:59.

The Vacancy

We are looking for a friendly, calm, and resilient individual who is passionate about delivering high‑quality care. This role requires a supportive approach to helping residents live as independently as possible while respecting their choices and preferences.

Responsibilities

  • Support residents with personal hygiene and personal care.
  • Encourage community engagement and social activities.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Assist with moving, handling tasks, and risk management.

Working Hours

The role requires a rota basis covering a 24‑hour period, including weekends and bank holidays. Shift patterns include 07:00‑15:00, 08:00‑13:00, 08:30‑12:30, 13:30‑21:30, 07:00‑14:30, 14:00‑21:15 and 21:15‑07:15 (waking nights). A bonus is paid for waking nights.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in hospitality or strong customer‑service skills.
  • Experience in a care role is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of age‑related health needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Alignment with NCHA’s CLEAR values.

Travel and Accessibility

Candidates who can drive are desirable as the home is a 7‑minute drive from the High Street in Hucknall. Candidates travelling from Mansfield may use the 141 bus service to Nottingham. Note that this service is not available for colleagues finishing at 9:30 pm.
