Carton Operator (12hr shifts rotating days and nights)

Overall Role Purpose

The purpose of the role is to ensure that the cartons are correctly assembled according to customer specifications.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Operates the carton machine
• Loads machine cartridge with flat pack cartons
• Adjusts the machine settings to customer specified carton dimensions
• Conducts basic maintenance of the carton machine and maintains cleanliness of the working area
• Completes a thorough handover at shift end to the counterpart on following shift
• Ensures own work is compliant with health & safety, environmental and GMP practice
• Maintains centre lining of equipment and reports deviations
• Escalates any issues affecting area performance to supervisor or manager
• Participates in BBS: responsible for own safety and those around you
• Performs sanitation duties as required, including shutdown
• Remains at workstation until relieved at shift handover
• Guides, trains and supports colleagues on the job as required
• Reports and escalates production issues to supervisor or manager promptly
• Performs any other reasonable task as requested by supervisor or manager
• Can operate PPPT

Qualifications

• Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent)
• Lamb Weston chemical training, H+S, GMP, PPPT

Experience

2-3 years manufacturing experience.
