My client Jamie is 16 with a diagnosis of Autism. He works better with males. He has some anxiety around noise so prefers to avoid busy situations, particularly those where lots of young children may be.

Main Duties

  • In the home and gain independence
  • Take to activities such as cinema, and country walks, etc.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience of working with young people with autism
  • Non-smoker
  • Must have use of own vehicle.
  • A calm and patient personality

Personal Qualities & Attributes Required

  • Responsible, reliable, and trustworthy.
  • Excellent timekeeping.
  • Some previous PA experience would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Good communication and social skills.
  • To respect confidentiality and privacy.

Location

Southdown, BANES.

Hours

  • 6 hours per month all year round @ £12.82 per hour
  • 6 hours per week during school holidays (13 weeks) @ £12.21

Holiday

5.6 weeks per year including bank holidays (pro rata for part time).

Start Date

ASAP.

Additional Information

  • Appointment will be subject to a DBS check, funded by the employer.
  • Employer lives with a friendly dog and employee with need to be happy around a dog as some work will be in the home.
