Support Worker (Full-Time – Waking Nights)

Location: Lewes, Brighton, South EastHours: 36 hours per week – Waking Nights: Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday, 7pm – 7amPay: £14.40 per hour

About the Role

As a Personal Care Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of our client’s support team, working waking night shifts in their own home in Lewes, Brighton. Your focus will be on ensuring their safety and well‑being throughout the night.

Meet Our Client

Our client is a joyful, humorous young man with complex care needs who requires continuous supervision and support. He has a passion for Lego, TV, and museums like the Imperial War Museum and enjoys life at college with the support of his family and care team.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Supervising and ensuring his safety throughout the night
  • Assisting with bathroom visits as needed
  • Responding appropriately during seizures
  • Administering his morning medication

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, punctual person with a great sense of humour who will fit in well with his support team.

Training & Support

We provide comprehensive, paid training to CQC standards before your start date, covering:

  • Full induction
  • Safeguarding Adults
  • Health & Safety / Food Hygiene / First Aid
  • Moving & Handling / Medication Administration
  • Personal Care
  • Epilepsy & Emergency Aid
  • Learning Disabilities & Autism Awareness

All training must be completed prior to start date and is paid at £14.40 per hour.

What We’re Looking For

  • Female applicants only (This post is exempt under The Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 Part 1)
  • Experience in a similar care role is essential
  • Familiarity with British children’s culture or similar interests is desirable
  • Willingness to cover holidays within the care team
  • Commitment to long-term, person-centered care
  • Reliable, compassionate, and respectful of confidentiality
