Overview
Thera East has an exciting opportunity available for a Support Worker to join our team based in Tiptree, Colchester, Essex. This is a permanent role with full-time, part-time, and relief hours available. Salary is £13.30 per hour.
Role and responsibilities
- Support adults with a learning disability as part of an inclusive team.
- Help create innovative ways to support individuals to achieve their personal goals, aims and ambitions.
- Provide support that is tailored to each person’s needs and preferences.
- Support daily living activities, including developing new skills, providing personal and emotional support, planning and managing home life, and supporting leisure, employment, individual interests and travel.
- Support may take place in the person’s own home or in the community.
- Promote independence using a person-centred approach.

- Experience required in epilepsy, peg and catheter care.
- Compassionate, caring, confident and resilient.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with a high level of motivation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; confident, articulate, and professional.
- Keenness to learn in a fast-paced environment and creatively solve problems.
- Desire to embrace our values and vision and have fun.

- Driver essential along with experience of Peg, Catheter and Epilepsy care.
