We have an excellent opportunity for a Multi-Trade Maintenance Technician to join a market-leading provider of modular buildings, portable accommodation and site solutions.
This is a field‑based multi‑trade maintenance role carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, repair and refurbishment work at customer sites across the region, supporting a wide range of modular buildings and accommodation units.
The role would suit candidates from a building maintenance, facilities maintenance, property maintenance, repairs, modular buildings, shopfitting, caravan/mobile accommodation, multi‑skilled trades or service technician background.
The role:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance and repair work across modular buildings and accommodation units
- Complete general building maintenance tasks including basic plumbing repairs
- Undertake joinery and fabric maintenance including flooring, partitions, doors, ceilings and windows
- Carry out basic electrical maintenance such as like‑for‑like replacement of lighting and fittings
- Diagnose and repair internal and external faults on customer sites
- Complete external repairs including roof, cladding and window repairs
- Carry out paint and cosmetic repairs where required
- Work safely at height in line with site procedures and safety requirements
- Maintain accurate job records using a PDA/mobile device
- Manage van stock, tools and materials effectively
- Represent the business professionally whilst working on customer sites
Candidate requirements:
- Experience within a building maintenance, facilities maintenance, property maintenance, repairs or service technician role
- General multi‑trade maintenance capability across building fabric repairs and maintenance
- Experience using a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Basic plumbing, joinery and general building maintenance skills
- Basic IT skills for updating job information and communicating electronically
- Able to work independently and manage workload across customer sites
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
- Customer‑focused approach with good communication skills
- CSCS Card / NVQ Level 2 Blue Skilled Worker desirable
- ECS, IPAF or PASMA beneficial but not essential
- Full UK driving licence essential
