Job Description:

As a Resettlement & Integration Support Worker, you’ll partner with refugees and families resettled through UK Government schemes such as UKRS and the Afghan Resettlement Scheme to provide personalised, client‑centred support. Your work will help new arrivals access healthcare, education, housing and other services, build confidence, and enable them to thrive independently in South Gloucestershire.

Responsibilities

  • Empower individuals and families by providing support that builds confidence and promotes independence.
  • Lead on multi‑agency coordination, organising and facilitating meetings between families and professionals involved in their support to ensure everyone works together effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date client records, ensuring high‑quality case management and clear communication.
  • Help families access key services, including schools, language classes, suitable housing, healthcare and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

  • A valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (business insurance required for travel).
  • Ability to communicate and engage effectively with individuals and families with diverse, specific, cultural and complex needs.
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality, professional boundaries and safeguarding.
  • Participation in an on‑call out‑of‑hours rota.
  • Flexible working, with some evening and weekend work depending on service needs.
  • Undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check; a criminal conviction will not necessarily prevent employment, with decision dependent on type and relevance of offence.
