Job Overview
Join Spring Wood Lodge in Guiseley as a Driver & Maintenance Assistant where you will be part of creating a well-presented and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society.
Responsibilities
- Assist with ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose.
- Utilise good DIY skills to maintain the safety of service users.
- Assist in regular checks and maintenance.
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
- Liaise with a manager to report all faults and defects.
- Participate in a 1‑week retaining on‑call rota for the purposes of emergency maintenance.
- Coordinate and support contractors on site and complete all paperwork and tool checks.
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean internally and externally.
- Monitor and report when vehicle maintenance is due.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Compliance with system and procedures.
- Hold a UK driver’s licence.
- Have previous experience within a maintenance role.
- Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times.
- Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.

Spring Wood Lodge supports women over the age of 18 who have complex emotional and mental health problems associated with significant risk behaviours, typically with diagnoses of personality disorder or severe mental illness.
