Overview
Assisting with the health, safety and environmental improvement activities and the promotion of a positive safety culture within the business.
- Conducting safety audits used to maintain the company’s health, safety and environmental management systems.
- Completion of audits to ensure compliance to departmental policies and standards, including monitoring the safe use of overhead cranes and forklift trucks.
- Overseeing Health & Safety across the shop-floor; challenging and stopping any acts of unsafe working, fostering a culture of safety and ensuring all employees adhere to the company’s Health & Safety standards and processes regarding safe working practices.
- Proactively contributing at the health and safety representative meetings to understand and challenge the issues raised by associates regarding health and safety.
- Working in collaboration with each division to close out improvements identified on the problem follow‑up logs.
- Providing assistance in accident investigation reporting.

- Must have an impeccable time and attendance record.
- Confident, diplomatic with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Practical hands‑on approach to problem‑solving.
- Possess a high level of integrity & confidentiality.
- Ability to show resilience under pressure and a flexible approach to support the department’s requirements, dealing with frequent change and unexpected events.
- A good level of I.T skills.
- Previous H&S experience or an IOSH/NEBOSH certificate would be desirable.

Permanent Day Shift: Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30 Friday 08:00 – 15:30
