Working alongside our client, a leading injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a skilled Injection Moulding Supervisor to join their established team in support of continued business growth.

Remit

  • This position will suit an experienced Injection Moulding Supervisor/Technician looking to further develop their leadership skills within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • The successful candidate will have previous experience leading teams within an injection moulding operation, ensuring production, quality, and health & safety standards are consistently achieved.
  • Candidates MUST HAVE demonstrable experience setting, conditioning, optimising, and troubleshooting injection moulding machines and processes.

Role

  • The successful candidate will supervise the end‑to‑end injection moulding manufacturing process in line with company policies and procedures.
  • You will be required to lead shop floor activities relating to Health & Safety, Quality, Production, and housekeeping standards.
  • You will support setters and operators with process optimisation, tooling changes, troubleshooting, and production priorities to maintain plan adherence.
  • You will be expected to investigate root cause of quality concerns, scrap, downtime, and H&S incidents, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Drive KPI improvements including cycle times, rejects, downtime reduction, SMED, 5S, and overall machine efficiency.
  • Ensure all process documentation including setting sheets, work instructions, and quality records are maintained and updated correctly.
  • Train, mentor, and develop operators and setters to ensure compliance with manufacturing, quality, and safety procedures.
  • Manage shift handovers, labour allocation, and production planning to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operation of the department.

Experience Requirements

  • Previous experience within an Injection Moulding Setter/Supervisor or Process Technician position.
  • Strong understanding of injection moulding processes, tooling, process control, and quality standards.
  • Experience leading teams within a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques including Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and SMED.
  • Good communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Self‑motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
