Complex Needs Support Assistant – Bromley

£110 – £120 per day | Full‑Time | Term‑Time Only | September start

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Support Assistant to join a highly supportive and inclusive SEN school in Bromley. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is genuinely committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with complex needs.

This role is ideal for individuals who are not only caring and empathetic, but also proactive, adaptable, and eager to develop their skills in specialist education settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with complex learning needs
  • Support children with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) and MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties)
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and daily routines where required, always ensuring dignity and respect
  • Adapt and deliver learning activities to meet individual needs and abilities
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to support holistic pupil development
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working with SEN, complex needs, or vulnerable children / adults (desirable, not essential)
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach, even in challenging situations
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships
  • Proactive mindset and willingness to learn, grow, and take initiative
  • Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs to thrive
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
