About The Role


We are seeking a highly motivated Purchase Ledger Administrator for our Finance Department, based at our head office in Monmouth. This role will be responsible for maintaining the completeness and accuracy of the Company’s Purchase Ledger.


As a Purchase Ledger Administrator, You’ll Get To



  • Maintain an organised and up-to-date Purchase Ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.

  • Manage the Purchase Ledger email inbox to ensure that invoices are processed in a timely manner.

  • Match invoices to Purchase Orders and Delivery Notes with precision and accuracy.

  • Code and record all purchase invoices with required supporting documentation.

  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve potential queries.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, suppliers, and vendors to ensure seamless coordination and resolve any discrepancies.

  • Complete month‑end reconciliation and closure of the Purchase Ledger Module.

  • Perform periodic financial analysis to detect and resolve supplier queries.

  • Prepare the Purchase Ledger payment runs.

  • Identify opportunities to automate and increase efficiencies in the Purchase Ledger process.


Qualifications & Skills



  • Previous experience in Purchase Ledger Function

  • Proven experience and practical knowledge of financial audits and associated legislation

  • Highly numerate and analytical with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

  • AAT or equivalent would be advantageous but is not a requirement for the role.

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to organise and prioritise the workload.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential, including advanced Excel skills
