Purchasing Assistant – Sheffield – £28,000
Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering exclusively with a rapidly growing global business in Sheffield who are looking to recruit a Purchasing Assistant to join their team.
This role involves managing supplier relationships and maintaining accurate records to ensure operational efficiency.
Working hours / Benefits
- 35 hoursCara per week Monday to Friday
- 12:30pm finish every Friday
- 25 days holiday _ bank holidays

The Role
- Raising and processing purchase orders in line with internal requirements
- Tracking and expediting orders so that deliveries arrive on time
- Communicating with suppliers by phone and email to resolve queries
- Ensuring products are sourced on time, meet specification and are competitively priced
- Sending requests for quotation to potential suppliers
- Updating the calibration register and arranging calibration activity
- Maintaining up to date pricing and supplier information within systems
- Setting up vendor accounts and completing credit application paperwork
- Overseeing waste disposal activity in line with regulations
The Person
- Previous experience in a purchasing or supply chain role hindsight t
- Strong communication skills and confidence in speaking with suppliers
- Good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Solid IT skills with the ability to work accurately in systems
