About the Role
Our client is seeking a Buyer to support the Decommissioning and Waste programme by managing day-to-day requisitions and purchasing activities. This role will involve working with a wide range of stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring procurement processes are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and in line with company policies.
This is a hybrid role requiring at least two days per week at an office location, with flexibility for remote working on other days.
Key Responsibilities
- Process requisitions and purchase orders in line with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to support low-value procurement activities.
- Resolve invoice queries and ensure purchase orders are closed in a timely manner.
- Support programme delivery within scope of knowledge and competence.
- Provide customer-focused procurement services to ensure operational requirements are met.
Candidate Profile
- Good general education, including GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Experience in administration within a commercial or business function.
- Experience with electronic financial and purchasing systems.
- Knowledge of purchasing principles and associated legal/commercial requirements.
- 25 days annual leave plus public holidays (increasing with service), with option to buy/sell leave.
