Support Worker

MyTime Reigate is a day care provider for adults with learning disabilities, epilepsy, sensory impairment, and complex physical and/or social needs. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic support worker to work flexibly within our day service provision.

Responsibilities

• Attend to care needs identified within the care plan, ensuring respect, privacy, and dignity.
• Involve people in the development of their own care and support.
• Always maintain safety, alerting senior staff to any identified risks, whether perceived or actual.
• Work with individuals in a respectful and person-centred manner.
• Maintain a sound awareness of safeguarding issues and clearly understand roles and responsibilities to report, respond to, and share information in relation to safeguarding adults, children, domestic abuse, and public protection.
• Contribute positively to the effectiveness and efficiency of the teams in which you work.
• Undertake any other duties at the request of the line manager that are commensurate with the role, including project work, internal job rotation, and absence cover.
• Contribute to a health‑and‑safety working environment by adhering to health‑and‑safety regulations, Trust policies, and guidelines, including infection control.
• Actively participate in personal development planning via supervision and appraisal.
• Drive a manual‑transmission vehicle; hold a clean, manual, valid UK driving licence with no endorsements or convictions.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence (manual, clean, no endorsements or convictions).
• Ability to drive a manual‑transmission vehicle.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with service users, colleagues, and other professionals, maintaining professional relationships.
• Awareness of and willingness to engage with safeguarding protocols and health‑and‑safety standards.

• Home‑working contract only; eligibility for a high‑cost area supplement is conditional upon residence and will be discussed on offer.
