About the Role
As a Support Worker, you’ll provide practical help with daily tasks, offer emotional encouragement, and promote social inclusion, enabling people to lead fulfilling lives at home and in the community.We are building a team for a vibrant young adult in York with complex needs, including Autism (PDA traits), ADHD, a Learning Disability, and Tuberous Sclerosis. We maintain a 3:1 staffing ratio to ensure a safe, supportive environment.The service user is highly creative and active. He enjoys arts and crafts, specifically construction and building things out of boxes. He also has a passion for aeroplanes, music, gardening, and visiting parks.

Key Responsibilities
- Engaging in creative projects (arts, crafts, and cardboard construction).
- Facilitating community outings, such as park visits and aeroplane spotting.
- Support with daily living tasks, including cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
- Promote independence and life skills development.
- Maintain high engagement during 12-hour shifts.
- Maintain accurate records and report concerns to the care team.
- Ensure a safe, respectful, person-centred environment.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of professional care experience.
- Fit and active enough to participate in daily hobbies and walks.
- Driver status: ideally a driver, but not essential.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
- Up-to-date CV with full work history.
