Basic Pay Rate: £13.83

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Working Hours: 07:00am – 03:00pm with early finish on Friday

Role Overview: Pertemps is recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join the local council. This will be an ongoing contract for the summer period, ending in October.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging lawns
• Plant flowers, shrubs, and trees as well as maintain and water plants
• Remove litter and debris to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment and tools
• Collaborate with team members to prioritise tasks

Qualifications

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance
• Ability to drive and operate mowers and other machinery
• Physically fit and reliable
• Ability to work early mornings and outdoors in all weather conditions
