About the Client: Emily is a bright, positive and independent 24-year-old who graduated from University of Roehampton with a BA in History. She leads a busy and fulfilling life—enjoying social clubs, church, travelling, shopping, dining out, cinema trips and baking. Emily loves cooking healthy meals and pastries, and values her independence and social life. Emily has a spinal cord injury, uses a wheelchair, has a tracheostomy and requires 24/7 ventilation and full support with personal care and daily living.
The Role at a Glance: You will be part of a 24/7 care team, supporting Emily in all aspects of daily life. Your role includes assisting with personal care, managing complex health needs, maintaining equipment, and supporting Emily’s routines—from getting ready in the morning to attending social outings. You’ll accompany her to events, ensuring her safety and comfort, including regular pressure relief. Night shifts require staying alert while Emily sleeps, monitoring via equipment and audio systems. A separate carers’ room is available for breaks while maintaining supervision.
