Production Test Technician – Newton, Cambridge

Responsibilities
- Assemble and test electronic assemblies to a high standard, meeting production schedule requirements.
- Maintain concise test and production records.
- Support the production engineering team with the validation of assembly and test processes as required.
- Support the training of production operators.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment and ensure safe working practices to comply with safety legislation.
- Work as part of a great team by supporting all functions within the department to ensure customer needs are consistently met.
Qualifications
- PC literacy with Excel & Word.
- GCSE’s or equivalent in English and Math’s.
- Good communication skills and written English.
- Strong emphasis on accuracy, detail, time management and organization.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines.
- Relevant experience in a product manufacturing environment (advantage).
- Working knowledge of PCB assembly and fault finding.
- Ability to solder to J-STD-001 and inspect to IPC 610 class 3.
- Knowledge of IPC and ISO Standards.
- Pro‑active approach and ability to raise issues promptly through the correct channels.
- Highly flexible and adaptable with ability to multi‑task and grow within a fast‑working environment.

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 18kg.
