Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Volunteer Retail Assistant to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in retail operations while contributing to a meaningful cause. The Volunteer Retail Assistant will support the daily functions of our retail environment, engage with customers, and assist in managing volunteer activities.
Duties
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the retail space, including inventory management and merchandising.
- Engage with customers to provide exceptional service and enhance their shopping experience.
- Support volunteer management by coordinating schedules and training new volunteers.
- Utilize Salesforce and Raiser’s Edge for tracking customer interactions and managing donor relations.
- Participate in campus recruitment efforts to attract new volunteers and staff.
- Conduct training sessions for volunteers on retail procedures and best practices.
- Oversee social media management to promote events and engage the community.
- Lead public speaking initiatives at community events to raise awareness about our mission.
Qualifications
- Experience in volunteer management or supervising roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and Raiser’s Edge is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide volunteers.
- Excellent public speaking skills for engaging with diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of training and development principles to effectively onboard new team members.
- A passion for retail operations and a commitment to supporting our mission.
