Overview

YMCA Robin Hood Group provides supported accommodation for homeless young people and vulnerable adults in our Nottingham City Centre and surrounding areas.

We are looking for a Domestic Assistant to join our team, working 37.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Working as part of a wider team, you will follow the cleaning schedules to meet our SLA’s, maintaining a clean and tidy environment for our residents.

On a weekly basis you will clean:

  • Wipe down, dust and hoover stairs and corridors
  • Dust lounge and dining room
  • Wipe down and sanitise surfaces, tables, TV’s, light switches and door handles
  • Clean the kitchen
  • Wipe down all surfaces, cupboard doors and sink
  • Clean ovens, microwave, kettle and toaster

Clean the bathroom

  • Clean shower and/or bath, sink and toilet
  • Clean mirrors and shower glass
  • Mop the floors
  • Hoover throughout the property
  • Empty bins

On a monthly basis you will also:

  • Deep Clean Carpets with use of Vac machine
  • Defrost and deep clean fridge/freezer
  • Clean internal windows

You are likely to have worked in a domestic or commercial cleaning role before and be confident and comfortable working in a highly diverse and varied role where no day is ever the same.

Qualifications

Due to the locations of the various homes we will require you to have your own vehicle and be a driver capable of traveling between homes.

This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check (paid for by YMCA) and registration with the DBS Update Service.

37.5 hours per week
