About the role
The role will primarily focus on the design, teaching, assessment, curriculum development and review of adult lifelong learning courses in Japanese language. The role holder will design the content and learning materials within existing frameworks and procedures and make appropriate modifications on the basis of knowledge or experience of the learners. Tutors work collaboratively to ensure high standards are maintained in accordance with the Department’s Mission, Vision and Values. Teaching will primarily take place in the evening.
About you
You will be expected to have excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English languages, a postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject, and extensive experience of Japanese language teaching. Familiarity with pedagogical methods in lifelong learning, a teaching qualification or Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy would be an advantage.
