• Job title: Visual Art Tutor
• Location: Wolverhampton Arts Centre
• Pay: £35.54 per hour
• Hours: 3 hours per week for 12 weeks
• Session time: Wednesday evenings, 4:30pm to 7:30pm
• Contract: Fixed-term, with potential for extension

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and inspiring arts educator to plan and deliver weekly visual arts workshops for young people aged 11 to 16. The successful candidate will help participants build skills, confidence and creative ideas in a supportive and inclusive environment.

The role also includes preparing materials, setting up the space, supporting participant progress and contributing to a final exhibition.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering visual arts workshops for young people aged 11 to 16
• Strong skills in drawing and painting
• A background in arts education, community arts, galleries or schools
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, encouraging approach
• An understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
• A BA in Fine Art, or equivalent professional experience (desirable)
• DBS checks will be carried out as part of the appointment process
