Send Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Role (September 2026 Start)

Location: Nottingham City Centre (Hockley), NG1Pay: £105-£120 per day (dependent on experience)Contract: Full-time, long-termHours: Monday–Friday, term-time onlyStart Date: September 2026

Long Term Futures are working with a supportive primary school in Nottingham City Centre (Hockley) to appoint a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with additional needs and make a meaningful difference in a nurturing school environment.

The role will involve working closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs)
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
  • Implement individual learning and behaviour strategies
  • Support pupils’ emotional regulation and social development
  • Track progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and structured classroom

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND
  • Background in a primary school or similar setting
  • Patient, proactive and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
