We are committed to fostering diverse teams where everybody can bring their authentic selves to work and feel that they belong. If you want to work for a Council where everybody is encouraged to meet their full potential and make a difference in our neighbourhoods, we would love to hear from you!
Your role
As a Caretaker you will contribute to the provision of the Economic Development Service across the borough and the general cleanliness of the borough’s Markets. You will carry out general cleaning of buildings and open spaces both manually and using machinery. You will also carry out minor repairs and maintenance to Market equipment and will assist in general upkeep of the Markets. You will assist with the security of the market sites and have key holding responsibilities. You will be involved in events that take place in the markets and town centres.
About you
You have knowledge, experience and the ability to carry out general building and open space cleaning and basic maintenance, with experience of using cleaning machinery including scrubber/dryers, waste compactors and balers.
