Class 1 Driver

Class 1 Driver – Temporary (Stowmarket, Suffolk)

Immediate start • Day shifts and night shifts available

5 on 2 off shift pattern

Pay Rates

• Days (Monday–Friday): £16 per hour
• Nights (Monday–Friday): £16 per hour + £17.50 shift bonus per shift

Note: Holiday pay is paid separately when you book annual leave.

Shift Times

• Start time for days: 04:00 – 06:00
• Start time for nights: 14:00 – 18:00

Job Specifications

• Completing trunk runs to stores/RDCs
• Average shift is 10–12 hours
• Daily vehicle checks
• A professional manner when dealing with the end customer
• Ability to complete an assessment prior to work starting
• Always wear the correct PPE whilst working (safety boots and hi‑vis)

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 licence
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 experience
• Valid CPC
• Clean driving licence with no more than 6 points (no TT, TS, MS, DR, DD codes)
