ASD Teaching Assistants – Bridgend

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for a full‑time Teaching Assistant to provide support to Primary students in schools in Bridgend. You will be working alongside the class teacher to provide support in lessons. The role will involve working with pupils between 3‑11 years old on a full time basis.

The working hours for the school role are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm. We are looking for candidates that want full‑time positions to fill the school requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work on a 1:1 and small group basis with children who have additional needs.
• Support the class teacher to deliver engaging and differentiated sessions.
• Support children to thrive both academically and socially.
• Create a fun, safe and supportive environment for children to thrive and excel in school.
• Assist with break and lunch duties.

Requirements

• Must have recent and relevant experience working with children or adults with SEN is desirable.
• Be available Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm for work.
• Be comfortable providing personal care if needed.
• Have a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one. You will get a full refund with us when you work 20 days.
